Fund Raising to Support TRIO Scholarships Project

TRIO Philadelphia has been a long time supporter of the national TRIO Scholarship program, raising $1,000 each year to fund one scholarship.  One example of a fundraising project was when model train hobbyist, Bob Kelcher, led a raffle with a prize of a Lionel Penn Flyer train set.  Chapter member, Susan Pincus, won that raffle and graciously turned the prize back (since she had no way to run the train in her Philadelphia highrise), thus supporting a second winner.

TRIO Philadelphia members also support this scholarship program by serving on the national scholarship committee each year, currently chaired by chapter member, Elizabeth Rubin, along with Susan Pincus serving as a longtime committee member.
