TRIO Philadelphia supports the annual Donor DASH event
Each year, the Gift of Life Donor Program sponsors a huge community education walk/run event at the steps of the famous Philadelphia Art museum, original site of the equally famous, Rocky statue. Almost 20,000 people of all ages come out to celebrate life and support organ donation.

Ever since that first run event, TRIO Philadelphia has been there, first to create and support the initial small event idea, and since then supporting with an information table and volunteer staff for all the work that goes into organizing and carrying out that hugely popular event.
​
Along with community education, this annual event raises funds to support Team Philly at the bi-annual US Transplant games (now the Transplant Games of America)
​
